Yeah its over. Do I say good riddance? Do I cry? What do I do? By the beginning of November Rap city will be a distant memory for the young hip-hop world. Rap City will cease to exist as they know it. It had ceased to exist as I knew quite some time ago. Most people that are thirty plus will probably feel the same way. From the beginning with Chris “The Mayor” Thomas the all ways played second fiddle to YOMtv Raps!. But when YO went off the air we had no choice but to fall in love with Rap City. With a slew of different host like Big Lez, Joe Claire, Prince DeJour and the most favored and like Big Tigger, we all tuned in to see our favorite rap video’s. I think the most anticipated part of the show was to see who would go in the “booth”. The “booth” was a place where a new mc could gain respect only if he didn’t let Tigger out do him. Tigger gained fans with his freestyle flow, he had no fear to match skills with the best of them. After Tigger left so did the fans, most of the old heads strained to watch what was left of the Big Tiggers momma’s basement. Even though they tried they couldn’t quite keep us tuning in. So now it is time to say good bye to the last show truly dedicated to Hip-Hop. Two fingers-One love.
Here are the best of the booth freestyle for your downloading pleasure. Enjoy.
